last night i braved the heat and scoped out my local value village yet again. and lucky me because i found the typewriter of my dreams. a sleek, charcoal, eaton's deluxe portable, manual typewriter. she's fully operational and even came with the original carrying case and all for a cool $7. i checked it out online and found that this brand, in good condition, can sell for around $150 so i think i got a good deal.

two lamps for $20 - homesense clearance rack |
here are a couple vintage or extremely cheap finds that are scattered around the loft. locations + prices are listed beneath. i think the best deal would be the two lamps i picked up for $20 from homesense, can't beat that.

value village addict: rolltop desk ($15)
i found this rolltop desk quite a while ago, but the price i got it for makes it post-worthy. callum and i spotted it ouside our local value village for $14.99!!! crazy i know. we paid for it, ran home and grabbed the dolly and trucked that thing back home. i was going to paint it white, but now i think i've fallen in love with it's beat up charm. plus it's solid wood and built in kentucky. i do plan on updating the hardware at some point, but until i'm sick of the wood, i'll hold off on the paint.

value village addict: vanity ($14)
you wouldn't believe my surprise last night when i found this gem sitting outside
my local value village. in the time i went inside to pay, there were already
two people outside trying to scoop it up. what's great is it only set me back $20,
and it has added it's worth and more of charm to my empty bathroom. all it needs
is a fresh coat of paint and it'll look good as new.
